Call for Art — Upcoming Exhibits — Events
Alter Ego
The person we present to the world is rarely the entirety of who we are. Beneath the familiar exists a more complex landscape of identities, perspectives, desires, strengths, and possibilities. Alter Ego invites artists to explore these layers—both within themselves and within their artistic practice.
This exhibition encourages artists to move beyond the expected and reveal a less familiar side of their creative identity. Artists may explore a different medium, process, subject, aesthetic, or conceptual direction; embrace experimentation; or create work that reveals something previously unseen in their practice. An alter ego may emerge as bold, introspective, playful, mysterious, unconventional, or entirely imagined.
At its core, Alter Ego considers the relationship between identity and expression: who we are, who we imagine ourselves to be, and what becomes possible when we step outside the boundaries of the familiar. The work may be deeply personal, symbolic, humorous, surreal, or entirely transformative.
Artists are encouraged to interpret the theme through realism, abstraction, symbolism, surrealism, portraiture, sculpture, mixed media, photography, or any visual language that explores identity, duality, transformation, perception, and self-expression.
Alter Ego is an invitation to look beyond the surface—to challenge expectations, embrace another perspective, and reveal the artist that may be waiting just beneath the familiar.
More than meets the eye. Show us the artist behind the art. Reveal your other side.
Measured Moments
This is an open theme. All forms of expression are encouraged from abstract to representational.
Measured Moments: 12 x 12 Collective is more than an exhibition of individual artworks—it is a thoughtfully curated visual experience. While artists are invited to explore any subject matter, each selected work will contribute to a cohesive exhibition designed to elevate both the artwork and its presentation. Through careful curation, placement, and display, the exhibition itself becomes a narrative, guiding viewers through a collection of unique perspectives that together create a larger story. The result is an elevated gallery experience that celebrates not only artistic skill, but also the power of thoughtful exhibition design.
